A few days ago, what we sincerely hoped would never happen, happened. The game so many fans were looking forward to, some since the second Legends game 10 years ago, has been canceled.
Capcom announced on July 18th, 2011, that development on the Mega Man Legends 3 Project would cease due to not having met certain "criteria", and the promised Prototype would never see release.
Since then, many rages were had, the internet burst into flames, Channers considered DDoSing Capcom, and what can not even be described as a confusing clusterfuck has happened. (credit to Jerry for that one) snowballing into a bigger and bigger flaming mess. Theories as to the reasons for cancellation are rampant, from out of spite due to Inafune's departure and badmouthing of Capcom, to the whole thing being a scam to sell the 3DS, to Wily taking over Capcom and finally achieving his goal of eliminating the Blue Bomber for good. (a thought which many are already clinging to, declaring the Mega Man franchise officially dead), followed by Capcom of Europe's twitter account certainly not helping, claiming fans did not get involved enough among other anger inducing posts, to even rumors of Mega Man fans being kicked from Capcom's Comicon booth.
Inafune-san himself, having been watching from the sidelines, now merely a fan himself after leaving Capcom, issued an apology to both the fans, and the Dev team. Apologizing to us that he could not be there until the end, and to the incredibly enthusiastic Dev team who poured their hearts and souls into the project to make it a reality, he offered "Im sorry i could not be of assistance", no doubt referring to his powers of influence and persuasion in Capcom, being widely believed that had he been there, he could possibly have kept development going, one way or another.
Now, July 22nd, 2011, only 4 days after the announcement, the flames have not bated, and even other companies have taken to the fans sides, Developers of upcoming game Skullgirls taking to their whiteboards with a few Mega Man Legends doodles, as well as a fairly stinging swipe at the company, and CEO of Developer Cyberconect2, of upcoming joint Capcom production Asura's Wrath, has even stated that given the opportunity, they would love to develop Mega Man Legends 3, the CEO apparently a fan of the series.
However, the fans themselves are still left asking what they are fighting fooooor, some sending letters to capcom, emails, or boycotting all their products from now on. But some, have decided to instead, rally support to revive the Legends 3 Project, and since online petitions are very easily to fake, (leading up to many signatures through different email addresses,) They have taken to Facebook instead, creating the page 100,000 Strong for Bringing Back Mega Man Legends 3.
So /rpm/, I have a mission for you all. If you have a Facebook, Join the cause. If you do not have a Facebook, well make one. You never have to use it ever again, but just join the cause.

Brave Fans of Mega Man! We have all been wrongfully judged as too few by Capcom! We cannot suffer this indignity and live in disgrace; We will forge our own movement of Mega Man fans. But remember, this is neither about Hate, nor rebellion against our fandom's creators. This is about the Dev team and our hard work. We must battle for our own individual voices to be heard, and the franchise's own survival. Together we will build OUR movement, a sanctuary of hope for all fans, Our own group. Let us forge onward towards a new golden era for the Mega Man fanbase!

So long, Inafking.
Well, it's actually happened, folks. The day we thought would never actually come.
Inafune has decided that theres just nowhere higher for him to go at Capcom, he just isn't enjoying his job, and it just isnt the place for him anymore. So, effective the end of October, (read, yesterday,) he is no longer a Capcom employee. He has also quit his position at Dalleto, a Capcom subsidiary. He left with a simple post on his blog which pretty much sums it all up, "Sayonara."
Inafune has been very vocal about the Japanese gaming industry as of late, including Capcom itself, and the way the business oriented side works. Citing the Japansese gaming in
The Rockman Fanart Link Collaborative
Evening RPM'ers,
While this group so far basically focuses on our favorite fanartists in the dA community, I felt it's still important for us to celebrate and appreciate other Rockman artists out there on the web. And I'd say the best way to start out doing so is to get a big list of links going for our own personal archive. [This is what I wanted to do after the last Stolen *Bleep* Thread rebirth, but never edited anything again after my first post ^^;]
Suggestions are welcome, from how we format this journal to worthy additions, and we can always edit in more links to this one journal at any time.
Since this is an RPM group, I dunno if
